LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – An injured duck who currently lives and the now-closed Mirage on the Las Vegas Strip has a new home — but not under the neon lights.
FOX5 reported on George the duck’s problem earlier this week: where will his new home be? Mirage President Joe Lupo previously said the duck would be relocated to the Flamingo. Now, the duck is headed to the northwest valley.
Mirage officials confirm that George will now be headed to the Gilcrease Nature Sanctuary, near Grand Teton Drive and Durango, near Floyd Lamb Park.
“We are working collectively with Gilcrease to determine an appropriate relocation timeline and will communicate updates as available,” officials said in a statement.
For those interested, donations can be made to Gilcrease to support George’s care.
