LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A bicyclist is dead, and a driver was found impaired after a northwest Las Vegas crash Friday evening, police say.
Officials with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said the crash happened just after 3:30 p.m. at Rancho and Sunset drives, near Vegas Drive. Police said the bicyclist was hit at the intersection, and the driver stayed at the scene.
Police said the driver showed signs of impairment. The bicyclist was taken to a hospital, where they later died.
Police have shut down the area as the investigation continues.
