LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Metro police are investigating a deadly shooting after a body was discovered in North Las Vegas Thursday.
According to LVMPD, the body was discovered near West Owens Avenue and Stocker Street around 3:22 p.m. on Jan. 2. Arriving officers located the body of a man between a building and the railroad tracks.
The man was pronounced dead by medical personnel and later transported to the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
On Jan. 3, an autopsy was performed and the medical examiner determined the man was killed by a gunshot wound. His death was ruled a homicide.
An investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
