LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — FOX5 has obtained the body-worn camera video from the June 9 shooting on the Las Vegas Strip that left two dead.

The shooting occurred outside the Bellagio Hotel & Casino just before 11 p.m. on Sunday.

The video shows an officer approaching one of the victims, who is censored from the video. The officer asks if the victim can hear him saying, “Stay with me,” before emergency medical technicians arrive.

“He has a gun wound to his jaw,” the officer tells another first responder. “He also has one on his shoulder here.”

The dramatic video shows the officer attempting to perform life-saving measures on the victim.

“If you’re gonna do compressions, do compressions,” an EMT says to the officer. “Hard, hard, hard, hard.”

“Still no pulse,” an EMT says.

The 28-minute video covers the time period from 10:41 p.m. to 11:09 p.m.

The victims were identified as Rodney Finley, 44, and his wife, Tanisha, 34. They were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police identified Manuel Ruiz, a 41-year-old YouTube creator from Las Vegas, as the shooter. He later surrendered himself to Henderson police.

On June 16, 911 call audio was obtained by FOX5, which demonstrated how the response to the deadly shooting played out.

911 calls obtained by FOX5 Vegas reveal that witnesses on the Strip and viewers of the livestream both called 911 to report the deadly Las Vegas Strip shooting.

A friend of the Finleys told FOX5 that the victims were also creators on the YouTube platform who were feuding with the suspected shooter.

The shooting was live-streamed on Rodney’s YouTube account, showing a woman, later identified as Rodney’s wife, confronting the shooter. After a short confrontation, the suspect fired shots. Viewers who witnessed the incident live streamed called 911 to report what they had seen.

“I was just watching a live stream on YouTube, and it looks like they were outside across from the Paris. There was a guy walking behind the camera, and he pulled out a gun and started shooting this guy,” another caller said. “It’s still live on YouTube right now.”

Ruiz told police that the shooting was self-defense, saying that Rodney had aggressively reached for his waistband and that Tanisha had “a shiny black object in her hand,” which he believed to be a firearm.

Ruiz faces two counts of open murder for the Finleys’ deaths.

Steve Wolfson, Clark County District Attorney, said that prosecutors are considering the death penalty.
