LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Taco the cat is headed to her new forever home!
She was rescued from the Los Angeles wildfires in January. Taco was transported to a shelter in Kingman, Arizona when shelters in LA were overrun by lost and displaced pets from the fires.
FOX5 caught up with the Feral Cat Warriors, a nonprofit dedicated to rehoming cats who are brought in. They pulled 48 cats out of Los Angeles shelters to make room for displaced animals.
“What I do know about Taco is that when she went into one of our new fosters, she was FaceTiming her friend in Delaware and her son fell in love with Taco,” said Charles Black. “She wanted Taco, but there was no way to afford flying out here to pick up Taco, so I reached out to a few of out big donors.”
Taco is now traveling from Las Vegas to the east coast with Black. She will be picked up and officially adopted by her forever family.
