LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The Clark County Coroner has ruled the death of a missing Las Vegas veterinarian a suicide.

Park rangers recovered the body of Dr. Shawn Frehner from Lake Mead on Friday, April 18, near the Boulder Islands. The coroner confirmed his death was caused by drowning, and that he had sedatives in his system at the time.

The coroner confirmed Frehner’s identity through dental records.

He was initially reported missing Sunday, April 6. A missing persons report from Las Vegas Metro Police said he left his truck behind at Hemenway Harbor with his keys, cell phone, and wallet inside.
