LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — CCSD is celebrating one of its graduates for a major accomplishment.
Ellie Parker, a 2017 graduate of Northwest Career and Technical Academy, was just named the winner of the FOX cooking competition show “Hell’s Kitchen: Battle of the States.”
Parker won a cash prize and the chance to run one of Chef Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen restaurants in Connecticut. She says her time studying culinary arts in high school set her up for success.
“Every student who gets accepted into a CTA, especially here in CCSD, they are so lucky. And I know in the time they’re not going to realize it ‘cause I don’t even think I did when I was attending high school either. We’re kids, we’re young. You know, it’s school, but looking back, man, these programs give everyone a leg up,” Parker said.
Parker’s the executive chef for Main Street Provisions in downtown Las Vegas.
