LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — CCSD officials say they have corrected the issues that led to budget problems after it was found to be off by millions of dollars last year, according to a letter.
Clark County School District trustees are meeting Thursday evening. They will discuss the corrective action plan that was required by the Nevada Department of Education.
Since the budget debacle last year, an appointee from the governor has been closely overseeing CCSD’s efforts.
This week, State Superintendent of Public Instruction Dr. Victor Wakefield declared CCSD has completed all required steps of the corrective action plan.
Thursday night, the compliance monitor Yolanda King will break down the steps the district has taken over the past year to evaluate staffing, budget processes, guidance, documentation, and oversight systems.
This is a developing story. Check back later for updates.
