CCSD Police investigating threats toward Henderson middle school

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The Clark County School District Police Department investigated threats toward a Henderson middle school.

Police confirmed the threats are “unsubstantiated.” They stemmed from a social media threat to Terry Mannion Middle School.

Greetings,

This is Todd Petersen, Principal of Jack and Terry Mannion Middle School.

Providing a safe, positive learning environment for our students is the number one priority, and I want to keep you informed of important matters happening within our school community.

We are aware of a rumored social media threat concerning our school. We immediately contacted the Clark County School District (CCSD) Police Department to investigate. Police have deemed the matter to be unsubstantiated at this time.

Please encourage your child to report any perceived threat through SafeVoice, a school administrator or to law enforcement. Students and parents can make reports through the SafeVoice reporting system by calling 1-833-216-SAFE (7233), through the website at safevoicenv.org or through the free downloadable phone app. Or call CCSDPD dispatch at 702-799-5411 for immediate attention.
