LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The City of Henderson has broken ground on a new preschool and early childhood education center to expand access to education for families.
According to a release, the groundbreaking ceremony, held on Monday, Jan. 26, at 10 a.m., will introduce the City’s second preschool.
The first preschool is located at the Valley View Recreation Center, the release said.
According to city officials, there are currently 40% of three and four year olds are enrolled in preschool programs in Henderson. They hope this expansion will offer high-quality learning for a child’s most crucial part of development.
Facility Features:
- Located near Grand Cadence and Galleria Drive
- 17,000 square-feet of space
- 8 classrooms
- To serve 160 children between 2 to 5 years-old
Officials report the estimated cost for the project will be around $17.6 Million and is expected to be completed in 2027.
