LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The City of Henderson is offering free cat and dog adoptions in November thanks to a grant.
City officials said it was awarded the Kia Pet Adoption Grant by the Pet Finder Foundation. It was a $2,000 grant and officials say it will support ongoing efforts to help adoptable animals find forever homes.
The dates are planned for:
- Friday, Nov. 7
- Saturday, Nov. 8
- Monday, Nov. 10
The city says all adoptions and foster placements are done in person, on a first-come, first-served basis. Applicant screening is required.
The Henderson Animal Protection Services is located at 300. E. Galleria Dr., Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Adoptions are finalized by 4:30 p.m. Animal Protection Services is closed on Sundays and government-recognized holidays.
