LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – As the city of Henderson continues its Reimagine Boulder Highway Project, leaders are asking for feedback from those living in the area on pedestrian safety.
Next week, the city is bringing an urban design advocate to walk around the surrounding areas of Boulder Highway to make note of high-traffic areas that can be enhanced.
The city is also inviting locals to take part in those walks as well – and possibly receive gift cards and other giveaways in the process!
These walkability audits will happen on:
- Tuesday, Sept. 24, 3:30 p.m. | 850 E. Horizon Drive
- Tuesday, Sept. 24, 5 p.m. | 190 N. Boulder Highway
- Thursday, Sept. 25, 8 a.m. | 1741 N. Boulder Highway
- Thursday, Sept. 25, 9:30 a.m. | 3005 Boulder Highway
An additional public forum is set for next Wednesday at the America First Center on Water Street, where locals can provide input on the project.
Those will happen on:
- Sept. 25, 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. | Jeff Speck Walkability Forum
- Sept. 25, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. | Open House
Residents interested in participating in the walking audits are encouraged to RSVP at cityofhenderson.com.
