The sanitary sewer will be relocated and replaced. The city says new manholes, pipes, laterals to side streets, drop inlets, sidewalk, curbs, gutter, cross gutter, raised medians, pavement, pedestrian flasher, signage, landscaping and irrigation will be installed.
Work hours will be from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Lane restrictions will be in place for the entire project.
Drivers should expect lane restrictions and delays. Alternate routes are encouraged. Routes include Sahara and Alta for east-west travel and Valley View Boulevard and Decatur for north-south travel.
Las Vegas Paving is the contractor. It’s a $27.3 million project by the Clark County Regional Flood Control District, the Regional Transportation Commission and the city of Las Vegas Sanitation Fund.
