LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The City of Las Vegas is now throwing in its proposals for at least one possible site for an NBA arena.
The announcement from Mayor Shelley Berkley comes as various resorts, investment groups, and jurisdictions across the Las Vegas valley and The Strip are showcasing the benefits of other proposed sites.

Mayor Berkley shared details during a press conference at City Hall, as she’s scheduled for a Zoom call with NBA Commissioner Adam Silver next week.
“I know they’re considering a number of locations. They’re all in the county, and look, I don’t have a problem with that…We have an alternative,” Berkley said.
Berkley cites an outdoor parking lot at the World Market Center owned by Blackstone as a potential location.
“It’s near a freeway. It won’t be as congested on the Strip, and I think it’s an alternative that they may want to examine,” she said.
Berkley said she will invite Silver to the Mayor’s office the next time he is in town.
“This is going to be a really important relationship partnership for the next couple of years, in addition to Vegas being the Entertainment Capital of the World, now being the Sports Capital of the world,” she said.
Other proposed sites include T-Mobile Arena, Resorts World, the southwest off Blue Diamond and Las Vegas Boulevard, and the LVXP site off Sahara and Las Vegas Boulevard.
