LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The City of Las Vegas warned residents of a scam related to court payments Tuesday afternoon.
In a post on X, city officials warned that scammers may be falsely claiming to be court or city employees to ask for bail payments.
“The city will never call you to request bail payments,” the post read. “If you receive a call like this, do not send money; report it to law enforcement immediately.”
The city also shared the correct way to post bail from jail, which can be done online 24/7 or at the bail window on Stewart Avenue.
The bail hotline can also be reached at (702) 229-6460.
