LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The City of North Las Vegas is warning residents of a scam asking for a wire transfer.
The city posted to social media Monday afternoon. Officials say the scam impersonates its North Las Vegas Planning & Zoning Division or Planning Commission. An email is circulating requesting payments through wire transfer.
“This is not legit,” the city said.
Officials say the city will never email residents or applicants asking to wire money.
