LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — In a news release Tuesday, it was announced that the Clark County district attorney will seek re-election in 2026.

Steve Wolfson has served as the county’s district attorney since 2012 and last won election to the position in 2022 against Timothy Treffinger, securing 56% of the vote.

“In these uncertain times, Las Vegas faces real challenges,” Wolfson said in a news release. “Our community needs a district attorney with experience, balance and the right temperament to make the tough but fair decisions.”

The release detailed Wolfson’s career, including his history as deputy district attorney, assistant U.S. attorney and his work as a private defense attorney. He also served on the Las Vegas City Council for eight years, according to the release.
