LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A small fire sparked on the 36th floor of the Fontainebleau Sunday night, firefighters say.

Around 8:47 p.m., the Clark County Fire Department responded to reports of the fire at 2777 South Las Vegas Boulevard. Firefighters say an overheated motor in a room heating unit sparked the fire. Arriving crews began evacuating the floor immediately, while firefighters located the fire and worked to extinguish it.

Firefighters say the flames were contained to the original area and did not extend beyond the room.

One person was treated for shortness of breath after traversing multiple stairs. However, that person was treated on scene and did not require transportation.

No other injuries were reported by firefighters or hotel staff and guests.
