CCSD provided the figure in response to a Nevada Department of Education inquiry regarding ongoing budget issues reported at the district.
FOX5 has reported on schools cutting costs by eliminating teaching positions and cutting back on paper use, but Thursday’s letter is the first time a number has been associated with the potential budget issues.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
