LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — More than 100 employers gathered at the Las Vegas Convention Center on Friday for the Clark County Spring Job Fair, offering thousands of open positions to job seekers.

Attendees had access to free resume reviews, one-on-one job search assistance, and free child care during the event.

Thousands pre-registered for the fair

Clark County Commissioner Jim Gibson said 7,000 to 8,000 people pre-registered for the event.

“What we hope is that we have the best results we’ve ever had, year after year,” Gibson said. “We learn a little something each year. This year’s better than last year. We saw the first influx of people who were here the moment we opened the doors. It was a larger crowd this year than we’ve ever had before.”

One in seven attendees received job offers last year

The county said one in seven attendees received job offers following last year’s fair. Officials said they hope to surpass that figure this year.
