LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Clark County School District revealed the winners of the Sphere XO Student Design Challenge, with eight students’ artwork displayed on the Exosphere.
This year’s theme was Pi Day. Students from nearly 100 schools in the Clark County School District were eligible to submit artwork tied to the theme.
The winning students were honored in a ceremony before their art illuminated the Exosphere.

One elementary school winner described the experience after the ceremony.
“I felt very proud of myself, because a panel of artists picked my art to be on the Sphere, which is really cool,” the student said.
A high school winner said the turnout from classmates added to the moment.
“It was even more magical having so many of my classmates come from school, like, just on an actual school bus, just to come see everything. I’m so happy,” the student said.
This was the third year of the Student Design Challenge.
