LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The closure of a well-known Primm resort marks the end of an era in the city just north of Las Vegas.

In a social media post, Primm Valley Resorts announced that Buffalo Bill’s Resort & Casino in Primm would be closing its doors and “shifting its 24/7 operations to Primm Valley Resort & Casino.” That resort is located minutes south of Buffalo Bill’s.

“We invite our guests to join us at Primm Valley, where they will find the newest slots on our redesigned casino floor, beautifully appointed rooms, oasis pool experience, and wonderful dining,” the social media post said.

The statement went on to clarify that Buffalo Bill’s Star of the Desert Arena would stay active, with a fall show lineup set to be announced in the coming weeks.

The resort, which opened in 1994, reopened in 2022 after undergoing extensive renovations. Upgrades were made to the restaurants, and new gaming options were added, along with new carpeting at the time. Owned by Affinity Gaming, Buffalo Bill’s was home to a roller coaster and a water flume ride.
