LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A new format post-season college basketball tournament is coming to Las Vegas next week.
The College Basketball Crown by FOX Sports and AEG features 16 teams in a single-elimination tournament. The teams are from the Big Ten, Big 12 and BIG EAST, along with other at-large teams. The tournament takes place from March 31 to April 6 with games at MGM Grand Garden Arena and T-Mobile Arena.
The following teams representing seven conferences will compete in the inaugural College Basketball Crown:
- Arizona State
- Boise State
- Butler
- Cincinnati
- Colorado
- DePaul
- George Washington
- Georgetown
- Nebraska
- Oregon State
- Tulane
- UCF
- USC
- Utah
- Washington State
- Villanova
The tournament winner will win a cash prize of $300,000.
