3D renderings approved in 2024 show the layout of the 25,000-square-foot venue, which will have outdoor decks with mountain views, restaurants, bars, and a fireplace.
Cabins on the property have remained open while plans for the lodge were in development, alongside many trails in the area.
The lodge stands at an elevation of more than 7,000 feet at the top of the mountain in Kyle Canyon’s Humboldt Toiyabe National Forest.
Before burning down in September 2021, the Mt. Charleston Lodge stood for nearly 60 years. Luckily, no one was injured in the fire.
Renderings for the lodge were revealed in March 2024.
The cause of the fire remains undetermined.
