LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The Clark County Coroner has identified the Uber driver killed in a road rage shooting near the Strip on Monday night.
The man was found shot to death by police in front of the Palazzo, outside of his car.
An initial investigation found that the driver was shot after he walked up to the suspect’s vehicle and “banged on her window.”
He had previously been driving behind the suspect with two passengers before he exited his vehicle and approached. Police say road rage was a factor in the shooting.
The Clark County Coroner has identified the driver as Michael Wilmot.
The suspect initially fled the scene in a silver Subaru WRX, but was later tracked down by police and eventually turned herself in.
LVMPD later told FOX5 that the case would be submitted to the District Attorney as a possible self-defense shooting.
