LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Henderson Animal Control responded to a dog attacked by a coyote on Wednesday.
A coyote attack was reported to Animal Control. An officer was dispatched to the scene after a coyote hopped into a yard and bit the dog.
The dog was taken into surgery.
FOX5 has learned the dog will have to be quarantined for six months.
Officers say they have seen an increase in yard encounters during the spring and fall.
