LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Nevada State Police Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash that occurred northwest of the Las Vegas Valley.

NHP reported that the collision happened just before midnight on Nov. 28 near Kyle Canyon Road.

Officials said a Chevrolet pickup was stopped with its hazard lights on along I-11 when a Hyundai Elantra failed to slow down and struck the Chevy. The driver of the Chevy died at the scene.

The driver of the Hyundai was taken to the hospital and treated for their injuries.

The Clark County Coroner’s office will identify the deceased driver.

Highway Patrol officers reported that there have been 55 deaths in their jurisdiction in 2025 so far.
