LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The Culinary Union announced early Wednesday morning that it reached a tentative contract agreement for its workers at the Plaza in Downtown Las Vegas ahead of a strike deadline set for early Friday morning.
In a social media post, the union announced it struck a five-year deal with the property, which will cover about 250 hospitality workers.
This is the first Downtown Las Vegas property to reach a deal with the union in this latest round of contract talks, as the union has set a strike deadline of Friday, February 2 at 5:00 A.M. for 13 remaining properties, 10 of which are in Downtown Las Vegas.
The Plaza announcement came just hours after the union announced a tentative deal for around 1,000 workers at Treasure Island.
