LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A person was injured by the fallout of a shooting near a Las Vegas casino and hotel Friday morning.
According to Las Vegas police, one person was transported to the hospital with injuries deemed not life-threatening. It happened just after 10 a.m. at Mandalay Bay.
Police said at least two windows on the west side of the building appear to have been struck by gunfire, and the victim was injured by the damage. No immediate details were shared on whether a suspect has been taken into custody.
A half-hour after the initial release from police, investigators clarified that the shooting came from a location west of Mandalay, and not on the resort’s property itself.
This is a developing story. Check back later for updates.
