LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A man charged with killing two Nevada State Troopers in a DUI crash last year has been sentenced to 16-40 years in prison.

Jemarcus Williams, 46, pleaded guilty to two counts of DUI resulting in death during a court hearing in April. Williams was arrested on Nov. 30, 2023, after hitting two Nevada State Police troopers who were checking on a driver stopped on the I-15 shoulder.

The man charged with killing two Nevada troopers in a crash last year has pleaded guilty to DUI charges.

The two troopers were later identified as Sergeant Michael Abbate and Trooper Alberto Felix. Williams fled the scene, though police later found his vehicle, as well as one of the troopers’ badges inside, according to an arrest report. Williams confessed to being the driver.

On June 11, Judge Susan Johnson sentenced Williams to 8-20 years in prison for each count against him. The sentences are to be served consecutively.
