LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A traffic alert for the next couple of weeks.

A 24-hour lane closure is now in effect on the southbound I-15 between Warm Springs Road and Blue Diamond Road.

Nevada Department of Transportation says the inside lane and shoulder will be closed.

The closure runs through September 27th.

It’s part of the I-15 south widening project.

This work along I-15 is to widen the freeway and make improvements from Sloan Road to Warm Springs Road.

24/7 Wednesday, September 11 to Friday, September 27:

  • Southbound I-15 inside lane and shoulder closed from Warm Springs Road to Blue Diamond Road

Nightly (8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.) Tuesday, September 10 to Monday, September 16:

  • Southbound I-15 reduced to one lane between St. Rose Parkway and Sloan Road
  • Northbound I-15 reduced to one lane between Sloan Road and St. Rose Parkway
  • *Note: Restrictions not in place Friday or Saturday evening

Daily (6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.) Tuesday, September 10 to Friday, September 20:

  • Southbound I-15 off-ramp to Starr Avenue closed

Daily (6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.) Tuesday, September 10, and Wednesday, September 11:

  • Starr Avenue on-ramp to southbound I-15 closed

Daily (10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.) Tuesday, September 10, and Wednesday, September 11:

  • St. Rose Parkway on-ramp to southbound I-15 closed
  • *Note: St. Rose Parkway southbound on-ramp WILL NOT be closed at the same time the Starr Avenue southbound on-ramp is closed. The St. Rose Parkway southbound on-ramp will close once Starr Avenue’s southbound on-ramp is open

Daily (6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.) Thursday, September 12 to Friday, September 20:

  • St. Rose Parkway on-ramp to southbound I-15 closed
  • *Note: St. Rose Parkway on-ramp will remain open on weekends

This is a $86 million project.
