LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A designer has been announced for an “NBA-ready arena” planned for the Las Vegas Strip.
In an announcement on Wednesday, AECOM, responsible for the Golden 1 Center and the Intuit Dome, announced their excitement about being selected by developer LVXP for the project. The proposed arena will replace the previously announced All-Net Resort, which Clark County Commissioners canned in November 2023.
“Envisioned with cutting-edge technology and modern design at its core, the NBA-ready arena aims to offer an unparalleled experience for fans and visitors,” the announcement stated.
AECOM designers Bill Hanway and Dan Meis will lead the project alongside LVXP architect Paul Steelman.
“We are excited to work with LVXP as they seek to redefine what it means to be a landmark venue,” said Matthew Crane, chief executive of our U.S. West region. “By leveraging our team of multidisciplinary experts, our innovative integrated delivery model, and leading-edge technology, we are well equipped to deliver this world-class facility that reflects the ambitious vision of LVXP.”
The arena will be built on a 27-acre site at 2601 S. Las Vegas Blvd., between the Fontainebleau and the Sahara Las Vegas.
Permits for the project have yet to be secured, and a timeline is not yet available.
