LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Mohave County Sheriff’s Office says they are working to positively identify human remains found in Lake Havasu City.
Officials said the remains were found Wednesday. Search and Rescue Units were deployed after receiving information that personal items that belong to a missing person, Marissa Hoffman, were found.
The items were located in a desert area near London Bridge Road around 11 p.m. Tuesday. Hoffman was reported missing by her family July 14. The family has not been in contact with the 33-year-old since July 10.
Detectives believe the remains are Hoffman, but they are waiting to positively identify her through the Mohave County Medical Examiner’s Office after the autopsy.
Officials say the investigation is ongoing.
