LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A two-story home went up in flames Tuesday evening in a neighborhood near the North Las Vegas Airport.
Las Vegas Fire and Rescue and North Las Vegas firefighters responded to a fire in a converted garage.
The fire was knocked down and crews are working to extinguish hot spots.
All residents inside the home have been accounted for. According to battalion chief Kenneth Kreutzer, Firefighters rescued one dog while a second dog was also located but did not survive.
A Las Vegas fire battalion chief said firefighters rescued two dogs, however, one did not survive.
The cause of the fire is still being determined along with an estimated dollar amount lost, the battalion chief said.
