LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is responding to a barricade situation in east Las Vegas.
Police were called just after 6 a.m. to a motel in the 6000 block of Boulder Highway, near Tropicana Avenue, after reports of a domestic disturbance.
Investigators say a man allegedly threatened a woman with a firearm. The woman was able to leave the room, but the suspect has refused to come out.
Some nearby residents have self-evacuated, police add. Boulder Highway and Missouri Avenue are closed to traffic as the investigation continues.
