LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A recently announced incentive for Canadian tourists has reportedly brought in thousands of visitors across three Downtown Las Vegas resorts, according to the owner.
Derek Stevens, the owner of Circa Resort & Casino, the D Las Vegas, and the Golden Gate Hotel & Casino, announced the “At Par” program last month, which treats $1 CAD as $1 USD on select offerings throughout each property.
On Tuesday, Stevens announced in a post on social media that the program had brought 15,000 Canadian visitors and generated more than 2,700 hotel room bookings in the first month. The program is set to continue through Aug. 31.
Stevens adds that the early success has inspired him to up to ante by adding two new entertainment additions.
Canadian DJ and producer Excision will headline two nights at Downtown Las Vegas Events Center on April 24-25. Canadian guests can purchase tickets at par by visiting the concierge at Circa or the D.
Also, Canadian rock band Finger Eleven will perform on Fremont Street Experience on June 27 as part of the free Downtown Rocks Summer Concert Series. The full lineup for that series has not yet been announced.
“At Par has created real momentum with our Canadian guests right out of the gate, and that means a lot to me personally given my lifelong connection to Canada,” said Derek Stevens, owner and CEO of Circa, the D, Golden Gate and Downtown Las Vegas Events Center. “Bringing a Canadian artist like Excision to Downtown Las Vegas Events Center builds on that momentum, pairing real value with major entertainment and giving Canadian guests even more reasons to plan a trip downtown.”
