Driver dies after crashing into concrete wall in south Las Vegas Valley

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — One person died after crashing into a concrete wall in the southern valley, according to police.

Officials with LVMPD say the crash happened around 2:15 a.m. on Pebble Road near Maryland Parkway.

Police say a sedan was traveling at a high rate of speed on Pebble when it left the travel lanes and crashed into a concrete wall surrounding a power pole. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Metro says to expect delays in the area.
