Editor Note: LVMPD initially reported the driver intentionally hit the officer, but later corrected their statement to say the incident was not intentional.
LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Police say an officer was hit during a traffic stop Thursday afternoon.
According to LVMPD the incident occurred around 4 p.m. on Boulder Highway near Flamingo.
Police say the suspect became uncooperative while speaking to the officers. The driver then sped off and hit the officer in the leg.
Officials report the officer was not injured.
The driver of the car has not been found and is still at large.
