LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Nevada State police said the driver who had three juveniles in her car before she crashed was speeding near Cheyenne and 215.
The crash happened Sunday, June 16, around 9:39 a.m. FOX5′s Molly McBride spoke the witness of the crash.

Police said the woman drove a 2009 white Jaguar XF and traveled above the posted speed limit eastbound on Cheyenne Avenue in a middle lane.
“It appears that the driver attempted to make a lane change to the far right travel lane and struck a curb and two paddle markers,” police said. there is a concrete curb and paddle markers used for continuous travel.
Police said the driver lost control of the Jaguar, causing the vehicle to rotate and leave the roadway southeast onto both the sidewalk and desert area.
Police said the Jaguar truck a traffic signal light after it went east into a desert landscape area. The vehicle then caught fire in the area of Cheyenne Avenue, west of Shady Timbers Street.
The driver was not able to exit the vehicle, but the passengers were. Police said the driver died on scene.
The passengers were three juveniles who were transported to a hospital in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries.
“The Nevada State Police Highway Patrol Southern Command has investigated 31 fatal crashes resulting in 38 fatalities,” police said. “2024 fatalities data is preliminary and may change/be updated based on final investigation and coroner reports.”
