LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – When you drop off your clothes at the dry cleaner, you expect to get them back but customers of one of North Las Vegas business say they don’t know if they will ever get theirs after the business shut down abruptly a few weeks ago.

Wednesday, FOX5 met with customers who say they now don’t know what to do now that Organic Dry Cleaner on East Centennial Parkway in North Las Vegas is closed.

“There’s still clothes that are on the counter like they were in the middle of folding and there’s tons of garments in bags. It just looks like somebody left in the middle of the night,” shared Lauren, a customer who asked FOX5 not use her last name.

What caused this dry cleaner to close abruptly? That is what customers want to know.

“A few weeks have gone by and no one was really answering the phone, no one was here to pick up the quilt,” Lauren reported. Lauren is trying to get back a quilt given to her by her mom.

“It just really makes me happy; it is a family heirloom, and it has been passed down for generations so I can’t wash it in a typical household washer and dryer, which is why I brought it to the dry cleaners to be cleaned,” Lauren explained.

The phone rings off the hook with no answer. The doors remain locked. There is no information posted about a re-opening date or how to pick up belongings.

“I went onto Yelp and Google reviews to do some research and saw that other customers were having a similar experience,” Lauren recounted.

“Usually, I come here to get my uniform dry cleaned. Today I came here to get my uniform dry-cleaned because I have to turn it in, and the sign says, ‘business closed.’ Don’t know why,” stated Andrew Flores. Flores says in the past few months, the dry cleaner has had problems. His orders have not been done in the time promised. Luckily, he doesn’t have anything needing to be picked up but feels for those who do.

“It is unfair to the people who paid to get their clothes dry cleaned and now it is just sitting on the racks,” Flores contended.

“I think I speak for the other customers in saying that we just want our stuff back… We have trusted them with our belongings, and we would just like to have them back,” Lauren requested.

FOX5 is trying to get answers. We went to the business hoping to find someone there Wednesday, we also called and emailed as the business website appears to still be working. We have not heard back.

Wednesday night, we also reached out to the North Las Vegas Police Department to see if any police reports have been filed by customers who can’t get their things back and also asked what people in this situation should do. We will let you know when we hear back.
