LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – One day after strong winds and rain tore through the Las Vegas Valley, it was all hands on deck for First Choice Tree Service.
FOX5 was able to ride along with the company as they made emergency repairs.
“We are going to get as much of it done today so the situation is safe and secure,” Roe Valenti with First Choice Tree Service said.
The company services a lot of City of Las Vegas parks where they had majority of their crews dispersed.
“Just crazy trying to reschedule everybody from jobs they had scheduled to handle all the emergency calls we have right now,” Valenti said.
FOX5 arrived at the Essex Circle Park where two large trees were uprooted.
“It is heart breaking to see these big beautiful mature trees just topple over,” Valenti said.
Over by Arville and Twain, we found a pine tree that fell into an apartment unit.
“One cut that’s made and the whole thing could crash through the building,” Valenti said.
This removal was a lot more technical according to Valenti, so they had to bring in a crane and get the tree off the apartment unit.
