
LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A former assistant principal at a North Las Vegas school was arrested for sexual misconduct with a student, according to the Clark County School District Police Department.
Hearley Smith, 54, was arrested Friday on 22 charges related to sexual misconduct with a student, according to court records.
CCSDPD said the investigation was initiated at Canyon Springs High School on Feb. 24.
“He has separated from the District and will no longer be allowed on campus,” CCSDPD said in a news release.
Smith had been with the district since 2004.
