LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The family of a child killed in a hostage situation involving his father earlier this month, is holding a press conference Friday afternoon.
According to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the child, identified as 3-year-old Kentre Baker, was held hostage by his father, Quinton Baker, on Feb. 3 at an apartment complex in the 8400 block of South Maryland Parkway.

Police say the child was shot by his father, who was pointing a gun at him as he approached officers at the scene, and later died from his injuries at a hospital.
The father was also shot by officers after discharging his weapon, and would later die at the scene.
The family is expected to address the public in a press conference led by the family’s attorney Ofelia Markarian.
