LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Las Vegas Police investigate a central valley family stabbing that left one dead.

Police responded to a report of an incident near Decatur and Sahara at 2:30 a.m.

LVMPD reportedly found a male inside the apartment suffering from stab wounds.

The victim was taken to the hospital and later died.

According to police, the unidentified victim was arguing with his son-in-law, which led to the stabbing.

31-year-old Aristides Matute was booked into the Clark County Detention Center facing open murder charges.

Clark County Coroner’s office will release the identity of the victim and cause of death at a later date.
