Father shoots, kills son during dispute on Thanksgiving Day in Cave Creek

CAVE CREEK, AZ (AZFamily) — A man is dead after being shot by his father in Cave Creek on Thanksgiving evening.

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office said 53-year-old Brett Walton was shot and killed by his 80-year-old father during a domestic dispute.

Deputies responded to the shooting Thursday evening at a residence near 54th Street and Azure Hills Drive. It’s unclear what led to the dispute.

MCSO said the father stayed at the scene.

The sheriff’s office says no one has been arrested for the shooting, and homicide detectives are currently investigating.
