LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Federal officials have approved a 472-mile stretch of transmission lines to help the entire state access water, solar, and wind power.
The Greenlink West Transmission project will run from North Las Vegas to Reno and seven other counties.
NV Energy has said this will help lower power bills.
Some critics argued over the preservation of Tule Springs, which is near where the project will run.
There is no word yet on when construction is expected to begin.
