LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Move over, Hollywood!

A bill promising to bring even more movie making to Nevada made its first step forward in the state legislature Monday.

AB238, also known as the Nevada Studio Infrastructure Jobs and Workforce Training Act, was introduced on the Assembly Floor during its late morning session.

The measure offers major studios tax credits for creating their films here in Nevada. It also creates an account to fund vocational training for those aspiring to work in the many craft services associated with film.

The bill now goes to the Assembly Revenue Committee for further review. The committee can recommend changes, send it to another committee for further consideration, or it can send it to the full assembly for a vote.
