LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A fire broke out in southeast Las Vegas, where flames were seen coming from an abandoned commercial building.

The fire occurred near the intersection of Desert Inn and Pecos roads in southeast Las Vegas just before 6:30 a.m. There, fire crews found flames coming from multiple sides of an abandoned commercial structure.

Crews took a defensive strategy and knocked down the blaze before transitioning to the building’s interior to extinguish additional hot spots.

Fire crews said five engines, a truck, two rescues, two chief officers, one air resource unit and two investigators responded to the blaze, totaling 35 personnel.

No injuries were reported. Officials said the cause of the fire has not yet been determined, and the monetary loss has not yet been estimated.
