LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The United States Coast Guard suspended its search for five people reported missing.
Their decision comes after a fishing boat capsized in the Gulf of Alaska.
Now, FOX5 confirmed that one man who was on board is from Las Vegas, EJ Celaya.
A distress call came in around midnight Sunday that a 50-foot fishing boat was overturning.
After almost 24 hours of searching, covering 108-square nautical miles, the Coast Guard released a statement Monday saying it was suspending the search.
Coast Guard officials confirmed Tuesday the names of the five crewmembers of the ship who are missing after the boat capsized:
- Travis Kapp
- Jacob Hannah
- Alex Ireland
- Emilio Celaya-Talamanter (EJ Celaya)
