LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Five people have been charged in a phishing scheme tied to last year’s MGM and Caesars Entertainment hacks.

This is according to Infosecurity Magazine. MGM said customer bank account information was leaded during the hack. They estimated a loss of $100 million.

The suspects who have been linked to the case are all facing wire fraud and aggravated identity theft charges.

According to the United States Attorney’s Office in California, the five are identified as:

  • Ahmed Hossam Eldin Elbadawy, 23, a.k.a. “AD,” of College Station, Texas;
  • Noah Michael Urban, 20, a.k.a. “Sosa” and “Elijah,” of Palm Coast, Florida;
  • Evans Onyeaka Osiebo, 20, of Dallas, Texas; and
  • Joel Martin Evans, 25, a.k.a. “joeleoli,” of Jacksonville, North Carolina. 
  • Tyler Robert Buchanan, 22, of the United Kingdom

In July, England police accused a 17-year-old for being connected to a global cyber online group that targeted large organizations such as MGM Resorts.

A group of hackers known as “AlphaV” claimed responsibility for the cyber chaos.
